Do you cater for people with food allergies or special dietary requirements?
Yes. Please inform us when you book so we can make sure we can provide for your needs.
-
Where do I park?
When travelling by car please use the Express Parking zone. This is available to disabled badge holders only. Please ask a car park host for directions if unsure.
-
What can I bring as proof of disability?
You can bring any of the following as proof of disability: Disability Living Allowance record book, Attendance Allowance book, Invalidity Benefit book, Visual Impairment registration card (BD8), blue/orange parking permit, or Freedom passes.
-
Can I bring a guide dog?
Guide dogs are welcome in the park, however for safety reasons, dogs will not be able to accompany guests on to the rides. Guide dogs may accompany their owner as far as the loading point, but please ensure that guide dogs are left with another member of the group, and not left unattended.
-
How can we access the rides?
Guests with disabilities who cannot use the normal queue lines should go to Guest Services, where they could receive preferential/special ride access wristbands (documentary proof of disability is mandatory). These wristbands allow preferential access to most of the rides, via entry points, which have been designed for ease of access.
-
Are there any limits on the number of disabled people allowed on rides?
For safety reasons, the number of guests with disabilities permitted on certain rides at any one time may be limited. For this reason, you may be asked to divide your party into smaller groups, and possibly experience a wait before you board.
Please make yourself known to a ride host on arrival at the access points. Please note that companions will not be allowed preferential access unless they are accompanying a guest with a disability onto the ride.
-
Are there any special changing facilities for the disabled?
Yes, there are special changing facilities for disabled guests and you can contact reception if you need help.
-
Is there any safety information we should know?
Yes, a guide with extra information for guests with disabilities is available at guest services. This is in addition to the general ride restrictions (including height, size and loose item restrictions), which are applicable to all guests. The restrictions are detailed on information boards at the entrance to the rides, and it is the responsibility of all guests to check these before deciding to ride.
-
Are there are any special requirements for carers/companions?
Helpers accompanying guests with disabilities onto the rides must sit in the same row or car as the disabled guest they are assisting. Carers must assist disabled guests with loading and offloading (including their transfer from wheelchairs). A maximum of two carers may accompany a disabled guest on to any ride at any one time. Our staff will give full instructions, but for everyone's safety, the carers must do all lifting-our staff cannot assist in any way. Carers must also be able to communicate any safety restrictions and messages, and assist with any emergency or evacuation procedures.
-
Can I hire a wheelchair?
A limited number of wheelchairs are available for hire at guest services (located on the right-hand side of Towers Street) on a first come first serve basis. A £5 refundable deposit is required. We would suggest that guests who need a wheelchair to travel around the Park bring their own for ease of use. A rental charge of £10 applies to persons who are not registered as disabled. Please note, wheelchairs cannot be taken beyond the turnstiles when exiting the Park.

Do you have any special policy regarding people with disabilities?
Members of the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA) welcome visits by disabled people and will do all that is possible to ensure a safe and pleasurable stay. However, certain rides and attractions in our parks can be physically demanding and vigorous. We therefore reserve the right to refuse admission to certain rides should we feel there is a danger to a particular individual or individuals for whatever reason. We have been advised by the Health and Safety Executive that refusal on the grounds of health and safety does not constitute discrimination. We hope that you understand and accept the decisions made in the interest of your safety.
