Runaway Mine Train
All aboard the Runaway Mine Train at Alton Towers Resort - It's out of control, so hold on tight!
Katanga Canyon is home to a network of caves and mines within its mighty rocks. It’s through these that the Runaway Mine Train track was laid out – but there’s no driver for this locomotive, it’s a totally wild ride!
This ride is fantastic fun for both kids and adults. The train will normally take you round two circuits per ride, but on quiet days you can go round for a third and even a fourth time!
Sonic Spinball
New for 2010 Sonic The Hedgehog spins into Alton Towers Resort – Spinball teams up with the world’s most famous hedgehog. Spin faster than the speed of sound on this fantastic family coaster. Each ride is different, so you never know if you're going to spin or drop - or in which direction!

Hop aboard the classic Congo River Rapids at Alton Towers Resort and expect a good soaking!
Take a voyage down choppy waters of Katanga Canyon on the Congo River Rapids ride. You'll be carried away with the current as you flow through tunnels and caverns on this stretch of choppy water.
You'll bob over the crests of waves, dip into white waters, and perhaps even find yourself under a waterfall. One things for sure though - you will get wet!

Duel
Duel is the haunted house where you get to fight back!
The mischievous spirits within Alton Towers Resort's haunted house are in for a fight as you take your laser gun from your holster and embark on a daring mission.
You'll sit aboard a carriage and travel into the house, shooting targets as you go. Ghouls and ghosts will be out to make you jump - so make sure you give them a good blasting.
Duel - The Haunted House Strikes Back is an excellent interactive family adventure. As you hit targets you'll be given a points score, which culminated to see who is the biggest hot shot at the end.

The Flume
Jump on The Flume unplugged by Imperial Leather and have a splashing good time!
This is a trip down the plug hole as you are splashed by showers and drenched by drops on this version of the classic log flume. Watch out for the rubber duck!
Nearly 1 km of gentle waterways await, but there's also a couple of sudden drops to contend with - beware, you will get wet!

Hex - The Legend of the Towers is a ride that is set to leave you spellbound at Alton Towers
On a fateful, stormy night 100 years ago, the Earl of Shrewsbury refused to give money to an old beggar woman, and brought the fury of a gypsy curse upon his kin: whenever a branch fell from the enchanted oak tree near Alton Towers Resort, a member of the family would die!
After a lightning storm struck the tree, felling a branch, one of his relatives indeed dropped dead. Chaining the remaining branches to the tree could not defeat the evil. Now, deep in the Towers' chambers, the tree has been unearthed: the curse has returned, and the room is starting to move! Hex: The Legend of the Towers is a ride that will leave you spellbound.
